The Pippins - Madrigal Singers

The Pippins are an amateur group of madrigal singers. We are associated with the Medieval and Renaissance re-creation organization, the Society for Creative Anachronism.

Most of us belong to one of the local branches of the SCA in the Chicago area, the Barony of Ayreton

Our singing group has a diverse repertoire of a capella music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Our favorite pieces include Italian madrigals, 13th century French motets, English rounds and carols, and occasional forays into PDQ Bach. We enjoy performing, and have sung at SCA events, local community gatherings, library demonstrations, and the Bristol Renaissance Faire.

If you would like to contact the Pippins for more information, to request a performance or to join (we are always looking for new members who enjoy singing), please contact our leader, Jennifer Small (Mistress Gianetta) by email: jenrsmall at yahoo dot com
